ULFBERHT VIKING SWORD BATTLE READY FULL TANG PEENED HISTORICAL OAKESHOTT TYPE X STAINLESS STEEL

The highly polished and heat treated Alloy steel blade is laser inscribed on both sides with the engraving "+ ULFBERHT +". An important sword from the Viking age this sword has the looks and the functionality rolled into one package. For a Viking a sword was extremely valuable. None more so then the famous + ULFBERHT + branded ones.

This sword has a 32.5 Inches stainless steel blade with a thick fuller and the + ULFBERHT + engraving on both sides. The sword also features a steel full tang which is peened to the pommel for great durability. The guard and the pommel are made of steel as well. The handle is wooden with a leather wrapped grip.

Equal attention to detail is given to the leather wrapped scabbard. For a viking the scabbard is almost as important as the sword. In the Hardar's Saga, Indridi refused a sword as a form of payment as it did not have a scabbard. Also in Olaf's Saga it is mentioned:

"This sword of swords is my reward.
For him who knows to wield a sword,
And with his sword to serve his lord,
Yet wants a sword, his lot is hard.
I would I had my good lord's leave
For this good sword a sheath to choose:
I'm worth three swords when men use,
But for the sword-sheath now I grieve."

Each sword is meticulously hand made and might include its own unique marks and imperfections. 
Each sword is handmade and may have slight variation in finish, color, size, shape, or other attributes when comparing any two pieces.
